Mötley Crüe - Dancing On Glass - 1987

Melbourne, Australia -

Chronological Crue – The Complete Online History of Mötley Crüe

Mötley Crüe is one of the world's best-selling bands of all time, having sold more than 75 million albums, and they are renowned for taking everything to the extreme. They have continued to evolve with every album since their 1981 independent debut, not afraid to branch out and set new benchmarks that other artists follow.

Like the band, Chronological - also takes things to extremes. This website provides a complete history of the Crüe, and when we say complete – we mean COMPLETE. From intricate details of band members’ childhoods, all the way through the decadent history to the most current happenings you’ll read about The Sex, The Drugs, The Rock'n'Roll – it’s all there; Dirt and all.

Chronological Crue is the brainchild of long-time Australian fan, Paul Miles. "Many years ago, I began scouring mountains of magazines, books, newspaper clippings, video tapes, audio tapes, etc. for dates and facts. Editorialised articles and information was completely stripped back to the bare facts, and completely re-written. I wanted the site to be a timeline of the amazing history of the Crüe, and a website with depth of content."

Fans and music enthusiasts from around the globe have now been accessing the site online since its launch on the 27th January 1997, the day vocalist Vince Neil re-united with the Crüe onstage at the American Music Awards after a five-year absence. Miles says, "The site became accessible that morning, so Mötley fans could spend the day re-living the memories, then later that evening witness the beginning of a new chapter in Mötley Crüe history."

The site's pages have now been read over five million times. Chronological Crue has  been featured in many publications around the world, including Japan’s Bass Magazine, Penthouse magazine, hard rockers’ favourite Metal Edge, even the band’s own Electronic Press Kit. MTV & VH1 have both drawn upon and credited the site for production of many TV programs on Mötley Crüe. The award-winning site has also expanded to quench the thirst of Crüeheads by including other features that are not only informative for fans but also entertaining. Some of these include:

CHARTS - The official Billboard Chart History for all Mötley Crüe albums and singles, in chronological order.

DATES - A handy reference for upcoming Dates that will soon be carved in Crüe history - including concerts, solo activities of the band members, upcoming album releases and more.

FAN INK - Many fans have taken inspiration from the world of Mötley Crüe and adorned their bodies with a life-long dedication. Check-out literally hundreds of photos of fans' Crüe tattoos from all over the world.

GIGOGRAPHY – This section provides a chronological listing of shows that Mötley Crüe have played over the years, commencing with their very first gig, through to their most recent. Date, Venue, City, State and Country information is listed where known alongside the 1,500+ listings.

TRIBUTE CD - Chronological Crue produced a Mötley Crüe tribute CD for charity. Respected artists from all over the world contributed their best versions of Crüe songs for the CD. A portion of each CD sold goes to a charity Foundation set up after Mötley Crüe vocalist Vince Neil lost his 4 year old daughter to cancer a couple of years ago. This Tribute CD Project won the 1999 Asia Pacific Western Australian Information Technology & Telecommunications Awards in the Arts/Media/Entertainment category. These awards are the World's Largest International IT&T Awards and their objective is "to recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals, organizations and corporations which have contributed to the development of the Information Technology and Telecommunications Industry through innovative use of IT&T".

VIEWS – Here you can take a trip behind the scenes as Chronological Crue talks with people whose work and association has impacted on the history of Mötley Crüe. Here they share their views and perspectives on the band, the music, the image, the lifestyle, the consequences and more. It includes interviews with band members, past management, family members, their tattoo artist, a band member's ex-partner, a photographer of the band, as well as stories of the road from those that have toured with Mötley Crüe.

When asked what is the most popular section, Paul Miles said, "The 2015 page is the first port of call for the many thousands of daily visitors to the site. Global resources are canvassed every day, and if something has happened in the world of Mötley Crüe, it’ll soon be there. Fans love that aspect." This page also provides the latest tweets from the band and all its members past and present.

Paul Miles was also honoured to write the introductory paragraph in the CD booklet of the first ever Mötley Crüe double Live: Entertainment Or Death album released in 1999, summing up the band's live history from a fan's perspective. An analytical contribution to the band's highly-acclaimed and best-selling autobiography The Dirt was sought in 2001.

If you’re a fan of music, don’t miss Chronological Crue. We feel you’ll be hard-pressed to find another site dedicated to an artist or band that is as comprehensively detailed and interesting as this!
