My Christmases

My first Christmas was not fun. I was abandoned at Christmas. I was also found and began my real life at Christmas. Enough about that first Christmas.

My second Christmas was much better!

This is me and Blake at the Dog Training Christmas Party where there were lots of games for dogs and lots of treats. We're in the middle - Blake has a stripey shirt.

I won this one which was called the Marketplace. There were four signs which represented four different shops and when they caller called out what we were buying we had to run to the right shop, line-up and sit. There were lots of tricky ones like ‘stakes – garden stakes’ sending you to the hardware not the butchers!

In this game our pack-people had to carry us across an imaginary river and not get caught there when the whistle blew! I think I was the heaviest dog in that game.

Then came the extended pack Christmas!

On Christmas Day I went with Lisa and Patrick to their family and on Boxing Day I returned to Kate and Blake (though Lisa and Patrick stayed too) for another party!

It was wild!

And exhausting.

For some reason nobody took any photos of my third Christmas and only one for my fourth Christmas in 1997. I think this one should be a pack Christmas Card!

For Christmas 1998 we went visiting!  We went to the house of friends whom we'd helped with some major renovations.  They had lots of friends and family over including some children who were a bit scared of dogs.  But I did my bit for the canine kingdom and they are not quite so frightened any more.  Cubby even stuffed me full of treats!

There must have been a lot going on at the home of this Golden Retriever on Christmas Day 1998 because he wandered into the yard, tartan bow and all, for a bit of a quiet sniff, then wandered off again!  If you know this Sydney Dog - e-bark me!  I think he is a resident or regular holiday visitor to Linley Point because I am sure I glimpsed him again on New Years Eve 31st December 1999.

Thanks to Joy Lyn, WillieGirl and Ozzie McMutt for my own 1998 stocking!
