About My City

I live in the City of Sydney, Australia.

Around the City ...

This is me sitting on the prow of the first HMAS Sydney which had its day in WWI.  It's been a long time since it floated and bits of it form memorials all over Sydney.  This one is set into the stone retaining wall at Bradfield Park almost directly under the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.  The Opera House is just poking into the shot on the right and the Botanic Gardens are behind me.

Around the Suburbs ....

Another interesting place to go with your dog in Sydney is Herbies where they sell lots of lovely spices!  My pack-people bought lots of the special Themed Spice Packs here for their 1999 Christmas Presents because (being between houses) the lovely presentation boxes meant no wrapping and the contents are simply superb (and were very well-received)!  Herbies has a special dog-hitching post and a shady verandah to sit on ... and can be found at 745 Darling Street Rozelle.

I will be adding more pictures of me in Sydney over the coming months.  After all, my pack-leader and I have to have something interesting to do while our web-mistress sits at that keyboard!

Now we just have to try and get something like this happening outside cafes.  Obviously I emphasise outside ... but why not outside?!  More coming on this prong of the campaign, meanwhile there's an article from the Sydney Morning Herald you might like to read if you have a fast connection.  I've got it down to 70KB but I can't get it much smaller without making it impossible to read.  Click Here!

On Australia Day 1998 (Our National Holiday is January 26th) three of my human pack and I went for a coastal walk!  We watched the tall ships who came in memory of the 11 ships of the First Fleet who arrived to settle in Sydney 210 years ago.

On the subject of walking - I'm building up a reference list of dog-parks in Sydney and surrounds.   Check it out!

I must admit, though, I love the car ...
