THE DOG ATE MY QUILT

When our Golden Retriever, Sandy, was a baby puppy, he ate one of the Mariners Compasses I had made for this quilt.

I threw the remainder into a drawer where they stayed for a number of years, until I decided the blocks were now safe from Sandy.

The quilt is intended to depict the Southern Cross. I used different Mariners Compasses for each of the stars.

Star fabrics are hand dyed on a commercial fabric background.
