WANGI QUILTERS

This "Windmill" quilt in my favourite colour, purple, was pieced and quilted in a feathers pattern by Lee Cleland.

The back of the quilt has been signed by the members of Wangi Quilters.

It was given to me when we moved from Wangi to the Gold Coast.

PASSION FLOWER

Passion Flower is a Friendship Quilt that I designed and cut out. Blocks were pieced by my friends in the Castle Hill Quilters just before we moved to Lake Macquarie when we retired. The blocks all have embroidered signatures of their makers. The pictures above show the front and back of the quilt. I must have been in a "Mondrian" mood when I pieced the back. This is one of my early quilts and is hand quilted.

SIGNS OF FRIENDSHIP on the left was made to recognise the 10th Anniversary of the Gold Coast Quilters. I made the quilt and it was signed by the 100 plus members of the group.

Novocastrian Quilters made all but one of the blocks in THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS on the right. The Amish style blocks and the quilting don't show very well in this photo but I quilted it in an elaborate Amish feathers style design by machine. When the quilt was on exhibition, I overheard ladies saying the quilt was hand quilted because it was not possible to do this type of quilting by machine !
