Meshing of thin-walled constructions: a floor system reinforced by beams and stiffeners.
This example represents a floor system reinforced by beams and stiffeners (in the pictures below the model is shown upside down for demonstration purposes). The web components of the beams have three circular holes each; they are automatically processed by QUAD-SURFACE, since the product provides complete support of multiply-connected domains with arbitrarily shaped internal openings.

As it can been seen, the quality of mesh is very high. The user can also assign its own step size to any boundary and/or internal component, therefore allowing to regulate mesh elements' average sizes as necessary.

QUAD-SURFACE allows millions of elements generated without any use of external resources such as temporary files on the hard drive or a necessity to interrupt other applications running at the same time.

Among other features, QUAD-SURFACE allows:

  • meshing of complex plate and shell structures in 3D space, consisting of flat, cylindrical, spherical components, surfaces of revolution and also general-case 3- and 4-edged patches;

  • meshing of non-homogeneous domains, consisting of multiple plates and shells with different physical and/or geometrical properties;

  • easily readable and convenient description of geometrical models;

  • fully automatic processing, requiring no interference from the user.
  • QUAD-SURFACE is available with complete source codes and the full commercial lisence allowing incorporation into your own applications. All codes are written in ANSI C and will compile and run on any UNIX or Windows platform, without changes to the source code. They are also fully commented, allowing easy modification at user's discretion.

    QUAD-SURFACE is available on no-royalties and no annual renewals basis: there is a one-off price for the unlimited commercial lisence.

    QUAD-SURFACE standard distribution kit includes:

    - fully-commented source codes of the program in ANSI C,

    - the product's User Manual containing detailed descriptions of input and output data structures and an example driver program;

    - a graphical application that allows displaying domains that are to be meshed, as well as generated quadrilateral meshes.

    QUAD-SURFACE is completely developed by our company and contains no third party code.
