QUAD-SURFACE
Quadrilateral mesh generation on spatial compositions of planar and curved surfaces.
QUAD-SURFACE 4.0 has been developed for meshing of civil and building engineering objects modeled by plates and shells. Quite often the plates (floors, ceilings, etc.) contain openings (holes) and/or internal features such as line segments and curves.

In the images below a spatial combination of plates and a part of cylindrical shell is shown, where one of the plates contains several internal segments and openings, colored in magenta and blue correspondingly. The internal segments and holes can be introduced into the model independently from each other. A model of similar nature, this time two-dimensional, can be seen on another page.
For structural engineering problems QUAD-SURFACE allows:

  • meshing of complex plate and shell structures in 3D space, consisting of flat, cylindrical, spherical components, surfaces of revolution and also general-case 3- and 4-edged patches;

  • meshing of non-homogeneous domains consisting of multiple plates and spatial combinations of planar and curved objects with different physical and/or geometrical properties;

  • fully automatic processing, requiring no interference from the user;

  • generation of refinement zones around point loads and internal constraints.
  • QUAD-SURFACE is available with complete source codes and full commercial lisence allowing EASY incorporation into your own applications. All our codes are written in ANSI C and will compile and run on any UNIX and Windows platform, without changes to the source code. They are also fully commented, allowing easy modification at user's discretion.

    QUAD-SURFACE is available on no-royalties and no annual renewals basis: there is a on-off price for the unlimited commercial lisence.

    QUAD-SURFACE standard distribution kit includes:

    - fully-commented source codes of the program in ANSI C,

    - the product's User Manual containing detailed description of input and output data structures and an example driver program;

    - a simple graphical application that allows displaying the domains that are to be meshed, as well as the generated quadrilateral meshes.

    QUAD-SURFACE is completely developed by our company and contains no third party code.

    Finally, our "try-before-you-buy" policy. If you send us several examples of your domains, we will run QUAD-SURFACE and send you the generated meshes. If you are satisfied with the results, you can then buy QUAD-SURFACE.
