Will Conyers is one of Australia's most sought after Theatre and Music Theatre identities; whether as director, music director, vocal coach, music theatre teacher or performer. A graduate of the National Theatre Drama School, his career has seen him perform at the Lido in Paris as a Principal Boy Dancer with the likes of Eartha Kitt, Bob Hope, The Supremes, Robert Goullet, Jon Stevens, Kate Ceberano, Mel Smith and Griff Rhys-Jones (Not The Nine O'Clock News), Maragaret Urlich and Topol. Will sang with Colleen Hewitt on the No. 1 recording of her hit "Day By Day", John Farnham in the Rock Opera, The Prodigal Son and, nineteen years later, again with Farnham in Harry M. Miller's, Jesus Christ Superstar - The Concert, as one of the High Priests and as Production Chorus Master. He then spent the next three years as Production Music Supervisor/Conductor on the New Zealand and Australian National Tours of the Theatrical Version of the same show, working with Jon Stephens, Deni Hines Jay L'anga gaia, Margaret Urlich and the late Noel Ferrier. Will's theatre credits on-stage and as Director/Musical Director include The Childhood of Christ/The Son of Getron with the Victorian State Opera, Seesaw, The Torrents, The Ballad of Angels Alley (Best Musical Direction, Moomba Drama Awards), Tenderloin, Gypsy, Paddington Bear, Ring Around The Moon, Everyman, Little Boxes (National Theatre Scholarship Winner), Dangerous Corner, The Magic Wishing Chair, Sweet Charity, Man of La Mancha, Footrot Flats - The Musical, Half a Sixpence, Favourite Son, Pinocchio - The Greatest Little Show on Earth, Puttin' On The Ritz, Disconnected, For The Boys Over There, Mack and Mabel, Tell Me On A Sunday, the smash hit season of Torch Song Trilogy, Sweet Charity with Kelly Abbey (Associate MD), several seasons of Possum Magic - The Musical, Alas! The World, and two charity concerts - Luck Be A Lady and A Helping Hand. He also directs many corporate functions including: the Green Room Awards, the AIME/AIA Gala Event, and most recently an event for GE Capital Services at the National Theatre, starring Maria Mercedes and Michael Cormick. In July 1995, Will, along with theatre legend Nancye Hayes, took up an Artist-in-Residence/Guest Lecturer position at the WAAPA. In 1996 he created the Music Theatre Course at the National Theatre Drama School and directed both graduation showcases, Wheels of a Dream and Use What You Got! Will's television appearances include : Neighbours, Flying Doctors, All The Way, Good Morning Murwillumbah and a semi-regular role on Skirts as the outrageous transsexual, Roberta. Will was also an original cast member of the Australian Children's Television Foundation production of Lift Off, as actor/singer, puppeteer and composer. In cabaret Will has appeared in All The Lives of Me, An Evening With Catherine Porter and in two sold-out seasons of his own cabaret show, Will Conyers is Under The Influence.
