Block B.

Now this one is a little more complicated, but an example of a real situation.  Again this can be done using the AutoCAD-MDT combination mentioned in Block A taking not much longer.  But the real difference here is the gap that is now created between the AutoCAD-MDT team and Inventor.  In Inventor it is much slower; we now must create a number of 2D shapes, work planes and several Booleans to get the final shape.  If more than one size of this component was required? again parametrics ‘might but highly unlikely’ balance this when amortised over many (and I mean a lot) of the same shapes but as this capability is available in Mechanical Desktop and Inventor and you already use MDT or have it to use why switch and lose AutoCAD’s functionality and FLEXIBILITY!
