J&B Wigley Architects and Community Planners specialise in cross cultural community planning, housing management and building design.

The practice specialises in Aboriginal town planning, land negotiation and facilitating community participation in development projects.

Past consultancies undertaken have proved to be successful in assisting Aboriginal communities to obtain their organisational and developmental objectives.

Founded in 1978, the practice has undertaken consultancy in remote areas through out Australia. The resources of the practice includes two architects and one architect / researcher and associated engineers, planners and landscape architects. The office is computerised for word processing, data base management, graphics and CAD.

The practice has diversified into digital imaging and the use of interactive multimedia in training projects.

The practice has completed a number of community physical planning studies that includes a land needs study for Aboriginal groups in Katherine NT , outstations in Queensland and the Barkly region of the Northern Territory.

    Other projects carried out by the practice includes the design and contract administration of group housing, health service clinics, community facilities infrastructure and buildings.
