LOW ENERGY COMPACT ELEGANCE
GEZE, a world leading manufacturer of door and window control systems, has developed an exceptionally small, low energy, swing door operator which was featured on the ADWS stand at Interbuild Australia. The Slimdrive SD has been designed to offer a combination of practicality and elegant appearance. With an overall height of just 78mm this electro-hydraulic unit may be mounted on either the door leaf or frame and provides the major benefit of allowing designers and architects to utilise slimmer and more attractive transom sections.
The Slimdrive SD is the world's first compact, servo assisted door closer with infinite adjustment. Jason Mangan, managing director of ADWS (Automated Door and Window Systems) explains, "In servo mode, the unit will allow a door of 160 kilos to be moved with one's little finger, it can also be adjusted to provide low energy automation all the way up to fully automatic. This has tremendous value for the disabled or elderly or in situations where people simply have their hands full."
Despite its small size, each unit is easily able to operate doors up to an impressive 160kg in weight and 1.4 metres wide; power requirement is 230 volt AC. The Slimdrive SD may be used to operate both interior and exterior doors and is housed in a gently curving cover profile, which is available in silver or RAL colours on request.
A comprehensive range of activation and safety devices is available, ensuring full compliance with relevant health and safety standards and access requirements.

At just 7cm high, the GEZE Slimdrive SL does away with the need for bulky and unsightly transoms and provides the freedom to conceal an almost invisible and silent but very powerful control unit within an elegant doorway structure.
Frameless moving leaves can be used and Slimdrive is suitable for both internal and external entrances. The standard Slimdrive SL is capable of opening door leaves up to 120kg each. Openings may be up to 2 metres for a single leaf or 2.5m in the case of a bi-parting sliding door.

We exclusively use a specialised superior Non-Toxic Polyurethane floor finish, imported from Sweden. The Gloss or Satin finish achieved is extremely hard wearing and has none of the flammable toxins and hazardous vapours contained in standard finishes. This also means there is no possible danger to your pets, fish, birds or plants. The finish contains the same hard wearing properties as poisonous toxic polish.
The result is faster drying time and a wonderful result as the pure clarity of the liquid allows the natural colour of your timber to shine through. Unlike other finishes, our polish does not tend to darken in sunlight. Although the type of wood flooring may change colour.

THE PROCESS
In most cases it will not be necessary to leave your home whilst the work is being undertaken.
We start by punching the nails (which often in itself can eliminate squeaky floorboards) and then sand and level the floor a minimum Of five times, each one progressively using a finer grade of sandpaper so a very smooth finish is achieved.
The latest machine does the bulk of the work, with a second machine sanding edges and a specialist sander perfectly cutting and sanding tight corners. During the sanding, rooms are vacuumed and a colour matching putty applied to nailholes and any crevices.
Three full coats of Swedish Non-Toxic Finish are used, and the floor is again sanded many times between applications to ensure perfect smoothness.
The cost of Floorsanding by Direct Floor Sanding Services is less expensive than a high quality Carpet per square metre.
The Swedish Finish can now be personally seen at the Building Development Centre, 332 Albert Street, East Melbourne, second floor, "Peuker & Alexander Display." With septic tanks fast becoming obsolete many residents of outlying suburbs should consider replacing with the Kwikflo Packaged Polyethylene Pump Station.
Although the network of sewer mains is being expanded there are still many instances where households have to pump to sewer.
The current 1,200 litre polyethylene tank is generally sufficient for this purpose. However, with the intended release in the near future of the new 3,000 litre poly tank, this concept can be carried into medium density housing developments, and commercial and industrial sites.
The advantages of Kwikflo polyethylene tanks is that they are easily transportable, corrosion resistant and they lend themselves to either single or dual pump configurations.

DESCRIPTION: COOLTEC-1, Heat re-radiating membrane is highly durable and flexible, allowing it to move with the substrate. COOLTEC-1 fills and bridges hairline cracks. COOLTEC-1 can be applied to a wide variety of materials, such as FUEL STORAGE TANKS, ASPHALT, TIMBER, PRE - FABRICATED CONCRETE WALLS, BRICKS, PRIMED METAL ROOFS, PRIMED ASBESTOS or FIBRO ROOFS & WALLS ETC. The product is an off white colour with a matt finish to alleviate glare. It is also an Acrylic Water Base Coating being NON TOXIC and ENVIRONMENTALY FRIENDLY.
COMPOSITION: COOLTEC-1 Is a Water Base Co-Polymer Compound containing Inert Pigments and Special Fillers.

TITAN MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
Titan is a single node, multi Challenger alarm and access control management package offering user friendly screens for system programming, report creation and alarm handling. This package has a choice of remote or local management, by connecting directly to a computer interface on the Challenger Panel or connection using a modem. Used in either mode, Titan is capable of handling 2 events per second and has an impressive upload and download feature.
WORKING BRIEFS:
- Titan Features: A minimum Titan system requires at least one Challenger Panel and its peripherals, a personal computer running Microsoft Windows 95 or NT onto which Titan can be installed from CD-ROM.
- Graphic Interface: TITAN supports a fully functional Graphical Interface that makes managing, monitoring and controlling your Challenger system easier than ever. This is made simple by placing icons representing Areas, Challengers, D.G.Ps, RAS's, Doors, Inputs, Relay and Map Links on user selectable bitmap images which represent the site.
- Challenger Panel: The Challenger Panel remains the backbone of the security system whilst Titan, an icon driven software package, becomes the Operator's interface to all Challenger equipment and features. - History Reports: Titan features a range of flexible history reports. These reports can produce any combination of date/time ranges, keyboards and free-form text and the most complicated of queries can be achieved using three cascading query areas.
- Real Time Operation: A real-time event log lists all events as they happen with a time and date stamped description of the event, this is then logged to the History database. History can be archived, reported and viewed as a constantly visible window.
- Operators: Operator's access levels are fully programmable and are reflected in the Main Menu, which will display only those menu options an Operator has been granted access to. Operators are individually assigned passwords and login codes.
- Alarm Handling: Alarm handling is performed from a dedicated alarm screen. Through a two-tier response process, an alarm is responded to using either preprogrammed or customised response text before being cleared and reset.
- Communications: Titan can communicate with Challenger Panels via dial up modem or direct serial connection. Any combination may be used, provided the maximum numbers of concurrent connections are not exceeded.
