Congratulations to Allison Blom - 2007Australian Veteran Women's Foil Team member

The 2007 World Veteran Fencing Championships are to be held in Sydney on Friday 14 to Sunday 16 September 2007 and one of our club members, Allison Blom,has been selected to compete for Australia. Congratulations to Allison. We all wish you the best of luck and hope you do well.

Congratulations to Ivee Caburian - Logo Designer for the 2007 World Veteran Fencing Championship

Congratulations to another club member, Ivee Caburian who created the winning logo design for the 2007 World Veteran Fencing Championship. Her winning entry was select from a large number of entries and will now be seen around the world.

A New Sponsor for The Swords Club

The sponsorship has provided the Swords Club with a brand new, state-of-the-art electronic scoring box which features all 4 lights, timer and score displays, together with a remote control for operation. Obviously this equipment will greatly enhance the training oportunities for all our members.

NOTICE TO FENCERS

As you have probably noticed, the school has been building a new perimeter fence to stop vandalism in the grounds. It will be completed in the next few weeks.

If the gate you use is locked and you have trouble finding your way in, go to the loading bay off Emmett Street and if I am at the gym, this gate will always be open. From the gym door, the loading bay is to the right behind the drinking bubblers.

The Australian Fencing Federation awarded The Swords Club the "Overall Foil Club High Performance Award" for 2003.

This award is presented to the club whose members have achieved, together, the highest point score for their results in Australian National 2003 Foil events.
