Matthew was born in Catwick, Yorkshire, and Ann in Hull. They were both widowed before marrying in 1853 at Hull. Matthew's first wife was Ann Levitt - they married in Hull in 1844. She died in 1849. Ann's first husband was Thomas Pashby, born in Beverley - he died in 1846. In the 1851 census Ann was recorded as a widowed pawnbroker.
From 1851 Matthew's occupation was also given as pawnbroker - did he take over running the business ?

Frederick was a stone mason. He was born at Burton Agnes and in 1874 married Sarah Alice at Hull. In 1918 he married his niece, Ida Sykes Guffogg, the daughter of Sarah's sister Edith Annie.

George and Emily married at Hull in 1879. After raising their family at Hull they moved to Bridlington in the early 1900's. George worke for a shipping company and was for a time the Estonian Consul at Hull.

Matthew was a dentist and Ellen a school governess/teacher.
Yaxham is a town in Norfolk - they married and lived in Middlesex and had no children.

Walter was a tailors assistant. In 1911 he was living in Bridlington (where his sister Emily Little also lived), and in 1939 was living in Audenshaw, Lancashire.
