Elizabeth and George married in 1834
at St.Agnes.
Elizabeth married William Davis in 1842. They emigrated to Adelaide (where Maria Ellen was born) in 1847 on the 'Trafalgar'.
Not long after they sailed
to Sydney on the 'Catherine' and in 1848 emigrated to NZ on the 'Maid of Erin'. Mary Penrose was born in Coromandel but all the other children were born in Auckland
where the family settled. [ref: Ancestry Family Trees]
Hannah and William (Courtis/Curtis) married in 1837 at St Agnes. In 1841 William was an agricultural labourer, probably working for his father at St Erth - Hannah and the twin
boys were staying with her parents at the time.
They emigrated to America in possibly 1842. A William Curtis b.1838 passenger list entry found (was this William Henry?), but no such entries found for other family members.
The 1850 US Census (Mill Creek, Jo Daviess, Illinois), however, shows daughter Elizabeth born in America in 1844, so emigration date seems likely.
William was a farmer in Illinois.
Louisa and John married in 1842 at St Agnes. John was a tin miner.
Mary and John married in 1844 at
St Agnes. John was a miner.
Sarah and Thomas married in 1850 at St Agnes. Thomas was a miner. Louisa and William were both born in Michegan, USA,
while all the other children were born in St Agnes.
Details of the family's time in America are unknown.
Maria & Phillip married in 1853 at Truro. Being direct ancestors, for further information follow the 'Mitchell/Penrose' link on the left.
Paul emigrated to Australia in 1854 on the
'Star of the East' (with Phillip MITCHELL).
He and Eliza married in 1862 at Ballarat.
