George & Emily married and raised their family in Hull but moved to Bridlington in 1901. George worked for a shipping company, and became head of the
Baltic Department for the Ellerman-Wilson line. As such, his daughter Trixie (Beatrice) was given the opportunity to launch the SS Marino when young.
George's death certificate indicates he was the Esthonian Consul (in Hull), but no more is known. He did, however, frequently visit the region,
together with his son Bertram.

Emily Irene was born in 1884 but not baptised until 1897. She lived with her parents
until after 1901 but by 1911 was living at the Convent of Mary (Mercy), Midhurst, Sussex, as an inmate. In 1839 she was at St Teresa's Convent at Great Holt, Dockenfield, Surrey, her birth
date being recorded as 7 Aug 1797 (incorrect year), 'corrected' to 1793 (also incorrect). Her age was also incorrectly recorded when she died in Surrey in 1967.
It seems likely Emily Wells moved down to Sussex after George died to be closer to her daughter.
