6 generations of Harts, from the 1500's to the mid/late 1700's were from Penn, just to the SW of Wolverhampton.
The LEES, MANSFIELD and DUNNE branches all appear to be from around Wolverhampton, whereas the questionable FEARNEY branch had its' origins further north in Staffordshire (around Leek).

Some of the name variations found in records are HART/HARTE, FEARNEY/FERNEY and LEES/LEA (though no likely ancestors of Thomas LEES could be found, with the name being so common in the area).

Thomas was born at Penn and buried at Wolverhampton. No records found for Sarah FEARNEY's birth/baptism, but the date is based on the burial record of a Sarah HART at Wolverhampton in 1824 (age 79).
Many family trees suggest her parents were James FEARNEY (FERNEY) and Ann GOOSTREY, who married in Dilhorne, Staffordshire, in 1744 - a possibility, given the dates ?
A Charles Fearney married Sarah Hart in 1760 at Wolverhampton - witness William Hart. Could Charles have been Sarah Fearney's brother, and Sarah the sister of Thomas Hart (also had elder brother, William) ?

Thomas was born and died in Penn, where he and Ann were married in 1735.
Ann was christened in Bilston in 1716 - her burial record, however, shows she was 92 in 1804 ??

James may have been born at Stowe by Chartley in 1717 (son of Johannis and Elizabeth) and Ann at Leek in 1715 (daughter of Ralph and Dorothy). They married at Dilhorne, near Leek, in 1744.
Being so far from the Wolverhampton area makes it questionable whether they are the parents of Charles and Sarah, but with no other 'FEARNEY' families found they remain a possibility.
