William Edward HART / Elizabeth Bevan HADLEY
William Jnr was a salesman
for the Hart Cycle Company.
In 1891 and 1901 Adelbert was working as a cycle
fitter/enameller, but by 1911 he was a photographer
and their son Adelbert also followed in this field.
Though living in Salop St. in 1911 he did at some
stage have a studio in Lord St.
Cecil and Elizabeth married in 1894 in
Wolverhampton. In 1891 and 1901 Cecil
was working as a cycle fitter for the
Hart Cycle Company. By 1911, however,
the family had moved to Coventry, where
he was employed asa motor mechanic.
Lizzie married Robert Pearce in 1901 - he was a clerk.
In 1922 Robert emigrated to America (California) - his son John Davids was at that
time in the merchant navy. John emigrated in 1928 and became a tile cutter (he married
Carolena in California later in that year). The 1930 US Census shows them all living
at San Leandro, California. The family was still in San Leandro in 1940 (US Census).
Raymond Bastick was an Outfitter's Manager - he was born in London.
In 1913 the family emigrated to Canada - they sailed from Liverpool to Quebec
on the 'Canada'. Canadian Census records show that in 1916 and 1921 they lived
in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 1943 Blanche made a border crossing from
British Columbia (Canada) to Blaine, Washington (US) with her daughter Kathleen.
Kathleen had married in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1922 but was living in California
by 1943. It would appear that Raymond died prior to Blanche moving to the US
- Blanche died in 1963 in San Diego, California.
Fred Rudge was the youngest son of Daniel Rudge,
a well known cycle manufacturer in Wolverhampton.
William Wallace Pearson was a tailor's assistant.
He and Winifred married in Wolverhampton in 1902.
A Lawrence Hart was registered as a death in Wolverhampton in Oct/Dec 1973,
his birth given as 23 May 1891 (in Wolverhampton). Assumed to be Laurence Irving,
whose birth registration (Jul/Sep 1891) probably late.
