Amos was baptised in Shirburn parish - the family was then living at Christmas Common.
In 1861 he was a resident at a 'Pauper Lunatic Asylum' in Littlemore, Oxford, where he died in 1882.
Whether he had children, or what became of his wife Mary, is unknown.
In 1851 Naomi was working as a house maid at Shinfield, Berks. She and Joseph married at Wokingham, Berks, but lived at Pyrton for the first few years of their marriage -
Kate was born there. Joseph was originally from nearby Watlington - he was a gardener and in the late '50s they moved to the London area where all the other children were born.
Naomi's death was registered at Aylesbury.
Rhoda and Isaac lived in Watlington, which was where Isaac was born. He was a blacksmith.
Levi DAY   ..   baptised 1826 at Pyrton
In 1851 Tabitha was a kitchen maid at Shinfield, Berks, working in the same household as her sister Naomi.
She married Thomas Smith in 1857 and later that year they emigrated to Australia, arriving at Geelong in November on the ship 'Shalimar'.
Tabitha died the following year and was buried at Geelong Eastern Cemetery.

Martha's origins based only on dates and area being suitable. Though born in Albury, Oxfordshire, in 1841 Martha was staying with (likely) grandparents at Aston Rowant,
much closer to Pyrton where David was born.
Following their marriage David and Martha emigrated to Australia, but details are not known. A passenger list entry gives a David Day and wife Martha (Holland) sailing to
Port Adelaide on the 'Caucasian' in 1853, but no other David Day entries until their son David's birth in 1864 - parents named as David & Martha (Neighbur). They were living
at Rapid Bay, South Australia, at the time.
A number of directory entries place David in the Rapid Bay area until 1870 - recorded as a farmer. From 1878 similar entries are found in directory listings from Minlaton, on
the Yorke Peninsula. Death entries record the death of both David and Martha in this area. Also, another directory listing from 1924 gives 'David Day - rail gngr - Yunta',
Yunta being a district between the Yorke Peninsula and Broken Hill. Could this be son David, working as a 'ganger' on the S.A. rail system ?
Hannah and James were both born at Pyrton.
As direct ancestors, full details of their history can be found by clicking the 'Holland/Day' link (left of page).
Thomas was born in Watlington, Oxfordshire, and was a chair turner. They married at Pyrton, where they were living in 1861 (next door to Thomas Day) , and in 1871 they
were living at nearby Wallingford, Berkshire.
