Lincolnshire Links
John Little (b.1775) and Elizabeth Warburton were born in Grimsby, but whether John was linked to the various Littles from the area just south of Scunthorpe (towns such as Hibaldstow and Messingham) is uncertain.
Also with Lincolnshire origins were the Swinn and Colledge families (from the Ludborough/Louth area) and the Easton and Huteson families (from around Whitton, west of Barton-upon-Humber).

Yorkshire Yokels
Our earliest known Sykes ancestors were from Watton, south of Driffield, Yorkshire (where Hannah Walker was born). Census records show Ann Wells was a pawnbroker prior to her marriage to Matthew Sykes (in 1853). Matthew later was recorded as having the same occupation - presumably becoming part of the same business.

The different family branches all ended up in Hull, which was where the Wells and Wilson families were from. George Henry Little worked for a shipping company and often travelled to Russia - he seems to have had certain consular duties with Estonia.
