This page is my retaliation at PICs® for wasting my time, hair and money.... I once got the idea that PIC® microcontrollers must be great because everyone and his dog seems to be using them, so I bought a PICstart Plus® programmer and some PIC® chips and started writing code for them. After more than a month of tearing out my hair from fighting the instruction set I found bizarre and woefully weak, and architecture I thought barely usable, I gave up and continued with the ZiLOG Z8®, and asked myself 'Why did I do that?'.
