Benjamin's
Big Band (BBB) is one of the leading youth
community bands in Australia, with a long and unparalleled record of success. The band was
formed in 1992 by Craig Benjamin - a well-known Sydney jazz musician, composer, and band
director, to provide a creative outlet for talented young musicians on Sydney's North
Shore. BBB quickly established a reputation both for its high musical standards, and for
its big, bold and swinging style.
Performance Calender for 2009.
What the critics say:
"...You and your band absolutely thrilled all who saw you perform. What a talented
group of young people!...dynamic leader...infected the entire audience. Fantastic!...what
terrific ambassadors...!"
- Merimbula Jazz Festival 2001
"...This was the second
occasion I had engaged the band and I was again inspired by their talent and
the very best jazz music around!"
- Youth Conference 2006
