Wooden Harleys
His name is Brian Dumperand and he lives in Victoria. In 1971 Brian came from England to Australia. For nearly 25 years he worked as a tree feller in the south east of Victoria. He started by carving interesting pieces of wood into animals, fish, birds etc. People noticed his talent and soon he was making trophies and custom gifts for clubs. Brian owns a 1974 1200 FLH Shovel and the wooden copy you see here took 700 hours to make and the pictures don't do justice to the real thing. With no training in wood work, Brian was learning as he went along. He spent every bit of spare time to get it just right. He took the shovel to the Bega Wood Working Show and they had the biggest attendance ever.

Every item like springs, motor, gearbox was created separate and then laminated and dowelled together. For items like the springs and shockies Brian had virtually to invent the process of making them and to get the look just right. Often Brian jumped out in the middle of the night just to try out ideas. The Springer, which took him 1000 hrs to make, is for sale. If you interested ring Brian on 0351 586 291

Here is Brian's latest creation. A rocking Harley for the man (kid) who has everything. Every one is individually designed and they can be yours for $ 2000.
