Australia

The Past, the Present and the Future

Living upside down doesn't only do funny things with women's skirts like I mentioned earlier. The pressure can screw up your mind as well. Sooner or later it gets everybody (for some reason I stayed immune, yahoo). How could I otherwise write this article. One of the side effects must be the orange colour blindness. They painted all our Yellow Cabs orange. With more then 17 million people you would think that by now somebody would have noticed this and said something. What really gets me is how they can they tell the difference between a lemon and an orange. Maybe they see the lemons in blue colour??? One thing is for sure -- I am not going to ask, or I might end up somewhere where they put you in a straight jacket.

Another side effect is mixing up dates. The Queen of England, also Queen of Australia was born in April. But here we are celebrating her birthday in June. Now you would think that the Queen would have something to say about this. Perhaps she's got affected as well on one of her rare visits. With two birthdays a year she is certainly making history by being the oldest Queen to have ever lived.

Somehow those effects are getting worse the more you travel south. I came across this photo in a travel brochure from Victoria.

Something is different alright - they've got purple and yellow cows
. Australia, wait there is more
