The NSC boxcar project started after I had built on
ONR 7600 series boxcar from a Roundhouse PS boxcar with scratch built
styrene sides. I studied photos of different Canadian boxcars and
realized that all Canadian railways had this type of NSC built 50 foot
boxcar. These cars have an overhanging PS type roof and the end panels
have either nine or ten rectangular ribs and have been built with
different doors types, sizes and configurations. By using resin castings
I was able to mix and match the different castings to create specific
