Achaemenid Persia
Welcome to my web page, which has been running since January 1999 and grew out of a fascination for history and art at high school in Sydney, Australia. My particular interest has always focused on ancient Persia - her people and culture. As I have said on the home page, this site is meant to be a resource for students of all ages, with a similar interest in history, especially Early Achaemenid Persian history.
My own background:
On leaving school, I graduated from university as a teacher and taught for over 10 years. After changing careers and gaining qualifications in Electrical Engineering and Computing, I now work in the IT (Computer) industry. In my spare time I am studying Theology in Sydney and have recently co-authored a book for students entitled "Adventures in Greek History: Thermopylae".
After over five years of research, I am in the final stages of completing a Book based on Jesus' words, 'the last shall be first and first shall be last'and currently looking for a publisher.
This is a book for people of all faiths and beliefs for it explains the hidden message of the Bible. It is a book that challenges all and says what you will least expect. This book is an exploration of what happens when we investigate Jesus' words fully to their logical conclusion. In doing so we find not only the accuracy of the Bible but the errors of our own assumptions.
