Entertainer Donna Lee performed her tribute to Doris' music at the recent screening of "Pillow Talk" in Sydney and she wowed!! the audience with her vivacity. She has since presented the show at the Marian St. Theatre in Sydney and also in Melbourne. To keep up to date with Donna's tour dates and venues click here.

I was pleased to present Donna with a personally signed photo from Doris in recognition for her wonderful show and she was thrilled to receive it. If you get the chance to see this lady performing you will not be disappointed.

Attention Sydney Members: I will be having a movie memorabilia stall at the fair. There will be items on stars from the 30's to 90's along with other stalls all catering to various types of collectors.

Welcome to the Web Page of The Australian Doris Day Society. This society was formed in 1989 in conjunction with the UK based fan club but has since grown so much in size that we now produce our own newsletter/magazine three times per year.

I have been an avid collector of all types of memorabilia connected with Doris for over 40 years now and have been told I have one of the largest collections in the world - indeed, the largest in Australia

I was fortunate enough to have met with Doris a couple of times over the years and I can tell you all that she is one heck of a nice lady! Of course, she now resides on an 11 acre property in Carmel ( on the coast of California ) and is now devoted to her animal causes. She currently has two organisations called "THE DORIS DAY ANIMAL LEAGUE" and "THE DORIS DAY ANIMAL FOUNDATION" which have both been very successful in stopping the dreadful tests on animals in laboratories.

The Australian Doris Day Society now has members worldwide and Doris keeps in touch with us through the club. Each year we hold a weekend convention at Woy Woy where members are invited to come along and enjoy movies, music, radio and television shows that Doris has done. When we held our very first convention here Doris was very kind in sending us an audio-taped message to welcome us all. She spoke about her life as it is now and her family and said she thought it was wonderful that we could all get together like that and how she wished she could have been there! She also personally signed a selection of photographs I had sent over to be sold at the meeting so that we could eventually send over a donation to her Animal League.

I hope to be adding new and varied items to this web page just as soon as I get used to it !!! In the meantime, if you have any ideas please let me know and I'll see what I can do.
