1990 Jan 23 10:50, 60sec exposure 55mm @f/1.2, hypered TP2415
My notes for this date indicate that the display was visible from 10:40UT onwards through the remainder of the night. On this occasion the bands of light were particularly prominent in the region coincident with the ecliptic in the West, so there is some contribution to the sky brightness due to the Zodiacal Light. Here the brightest part of the display is seen against the background stars of Cetus.
(Note this negative is suffering from extensive water drying marks that I cant remove, they are mostly in the upper left part of the frame and some attempt has been made to reduce their visibility without altering the appearance of the bands of airglow)
