John 4 vs 23 - worship in Spirit and Truth
Worship is the true heart of the Kingdom of God.
But
the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship
the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship
Him. God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit
and in truth.
John 4 vs 23 and 24
Worshiping in truth, means true
worship. Vital for worshiping in truth, ie offering true worship
in the experience of Kingdom of God, modern Christians have neglected
their body. Their Spiritual Body.
True Worship - in the Holy Spirit
Our body is not just flesh and blood,
And I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God..
1Corinthians 15:50
True worship is the same as true love, and in true Agape love it reaches its climax in the marriage supper of the lamb, the bridal chamber.
It is the bridal chamber where we open our bodies completely to God.
I
beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your
reasonable service (worship).
Rom 12:1
This is the true worship that you should offer, and it is done in the spirit not in the flesh.
If we have been reborn in Christ we have a Spiritual Body. We must
function within our spiritual body, it is the vehicle through which we
love one another and worship God.
Our spiritual bodies are composed of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, the Virtues. (See Spiritual Bodies in Kingdom Definitions for more on this)
Here is the Key to worshipping God in Spirit and Truth, for those with ears to hear:
God is Spirit. In worshipping in our
true bodies which are spirit, we open our love, (the fruit of His
Spirit in us) to God in awe of his fulness of love. It is only
love that can worship His Love.
So too, we open our joy, (the fruit
of His Spirit in us) to God in awe of his fulness of joy. We open
our gentleness, (the fruit of His Spirit in us), to God in awe of his
fulness of gentleness....
Of course it is impossible to open in this way unless we first understand that God is Good, and He is only Good.
