This is very much a work in progress, and is proceeding rather slowly - bare with me!
Thanks to the encouraging emails- I will persist. My sources and tools are the original German, some translation software, a very basic knowledge of German, and a somewhat heavily 'edited' 19th Century English Translation I found and photocopied in a University library a number of years ago,
The poetry is of course the most difficult to do justice to, but rather than not upload anything, I've uploaded what I have done so far. I am particularly in need of a good translation of the poems. Thanks to Frank Fischer for his advice re the 'elisionen' in the poetry. You may want to check out his substantial Novalis site (in German) at http://www.textgalerie.de/novalis/index.html.
