The purpose of the Canberra and District Historic Engine Club is
"To preserve links with our past and create greater community awareness by obtaining, restoring and displaying engines and/or machinery of historic interest."
The Club is committed to the preservation and continued safe operation of all types of historic machinery including tractors and commercial vehicles.
Our meetings are held at the Shannon's Office, Unit 1/74 Newcastle St, Fyshwick on the fourth Thursday of each month (except December) at 7.30pm. Visitors are always welcome.
The Club is based at the Tuggeranong Homestead (see Links page) where we have a permanent static display. Working displays are held in conjunction with the Lions Markets on the 2nd sunday of each month.
CDHEC is affiliated with the National Historic Machinery Association. All NHMA Clubs are invited to attend any event organised by CDHEC. Contacts are given on our Events calendar, see Coming events below.
