About

The Northern Sydney Wargames Club was founded at least by 1970 as the Northern Wargames Association, then by 1991 changed its name to the Northern Sydney Wargames Club.  People from all over Sydney and the Central Coast come to play at the NSWC . The NSWC is supported by Essex Miniatures, Micks Military Models, The Tin Soldier, GPK Wargaming and Napoleons Military Specialist Bookshop.

The Battle of Wormditt June 18 1807

view from behind the French Centre and the town of Wormditt.

This shot shows the French Centre were three French infantry divisions and two reserve cavalry plus divisional artillery, waiting for the moment to attack the Russian Centre.  One infantry division was deployed in the town, another deployed to move to the right with the support of a brigade of cuirassiers and a brigade of dragoons.   The third division was deployed to move around the left of the town with the support of a division of dragoons (the Russians faced this force with large force of guns and cavalry).

This shot shows a closer view of the town of Wormditt.  The horse battery plus two foot batteries were deployed to support the advance in this area.

The Russian Right Centre is pushing hard against the French Left Centre.   Driving back or over-running French batteries and forcing back a brigade of Dragoons, but the French infantry stands firm and even attacks the Cossacks.

The Russian Left Flank.  This flank regained the ground it had lost on the 17th and pushed further, gaining as much ground again, but did not break the French Right.
