tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito Greetings from the Land Downunder. My name is Grant Schmarr and I'll be your host as you visit my page. If there is anything I can do to make your visit more interesting or enjoyable please email me at . Why the name Enigman, I hear you ask? It comes from a book by Alan Dean Foster called 'The Man Who Used the Universe'. One of my all time favourite books. A little bit about me I suppose you want to know a little bit about me. I'm something of a computer fanatic and am lucky enough to be able to indulge my hobby at work as a LAN (Local Area Network) Support specialist. I enjoy my work and find helping people solve problems with their computers an enjoyable activity. I like the challenge of new technology and have spent a considerable amount of my own time experimenting with Internet and Intranet related technologies. By the end of 2000 I hope to achieve the Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification and have developed high level skills in Java, JavaScript and HTML. I haunt a few different Usenet newsgroups including those related to HTML, Java and most of the Microsoft application related groups such as microsoft.public.word.general. At times you will also find me in #The Pit. I developed my home page in 1997 and the site overall is still somewhat bare (don't get as much time to update it as I would like). I hope to remedy that as time goes by. I like a nice clean look to the pages I develop (as opposed to my desk which has been described as being in a permanent state of entropy). I don't mind frames at all and feel that they have their place if done correctly (even though I haven't used any on my site at all). Over time I will develop a HTML tips and tricks page covering such things as the use of frames and other useful items I've picked up along the way. One of the main reasons why I left it for so long before creating a home page was to develop some of the skills to create a halfway decent home page (you will tell me if it's a load of crap won't you). For those interested, I've also included my resume. | Latin Sayings | Cool Links | HTML Stuff | Javascript Stuff | Java Stuff | What's New? | |
