with their car as bright as day, All the way from South Australia, How did you find the way? |
|
| There's motor cars and limosines,
all put to the test. But there's only one"The Alvis" a class above the rest. |
Brad and Jen Mitchell,
Your car is looking sick, You'd better get an Alvis, And get one pretty quick! |
|
| Made in good old England,
a car before it's time, And the people who collect them, keep them in their prime. |
Here from Antique Tyres,
We have Alan, so well bred, He's looking worn just lately, He needs a good retread. |
|
| Tonight we have a welcome,
where everyones a friend, Assembled in Nagambie for an Alvis Lost Weekend. |
That Kendal bloke McSkimming,
Has only one desire, That on this visit to us here, His Alvis don't catch fire. |
|
| We have the Tonkin royalty,
King Richard is the "Pres" With Mrs Simpson and the Duke, His friendships do impress. |
From Metung way there's Andre,
A man who never fails, A watercraft he's now designed, An Alvis car with sails. |
|
| Eric Nicholl is a veteran,
He's Chairman of the Board, He's looking younger every day, and so beautifully restored! |
Geoff Hood is true, an Alvis man,
Helen loves by and large, She said he's like a racing car, He needs a supercharge. |
|
| Hello to Dale Parsell
the Sec for all us folks, And Maritta with her Firefly who keeps beating all the blokes. |
There is John White, John Hetherington,
All Alvis men it's true, John & Kay from Murchison, Who brought me here to you. |
|
| And Andrew McDougall
has Grandad's car so nifty, He bought it at an auction and it only cost twelve fifty. |
So good luck to everyone that's here,
Let's all give a cheer, May the Alvis car club prosper, Until we meet again next year. |
