WELCOME to the site for the Sydney Metro Dojos of Bujinkan Kobudo for NSW and Australia. In it we include a brief explanation of the type of martial art that is the Bujinkan, the people doing the teaching, and associated dojos around Australia where you can train.

Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu is the collection of ancient Martial Arts and techniques inherited by Soke (Grandmaster) Masaaki Hatsumi. There are nine schools of martial study which form the core of the Bujinkan, each with their own specialties and differences. Three of these schools are Ninjutsu, and are the only forms of Ninjutsu surviving, while the others are of more typical of the Japanese martial arts of antiquity. As a general rule, classes do not separate the sub-schools but teach the forms as a unified whole to concentrate on training and skills to the student rather than history. The main aspects are unarmed combat, staff weapons, spear, halberd, sword and knife.

The Bujinkan Sydney Metro Dojos comprises of a number of Dojo and training locations around Sydney suburbs, to provide an opportunity to students of Martial Arts and the Bujinkan to train in traditional Ninpo (Ninjutsu) taught as Budo Taijutsu, or Bujinkan Kobudo.

In maintaining the highest quality of skills and training to forward onto student opportunities, it comprises of and associates with Japan trained Shihan and instructors who have spent time training with Soke and other Shihan, with the senior instructor having the most Japan training experience with Soke of all the current Australian instructors in Australia, even over some of the Australian Shihan and senior grades...

As an addition to assisting students to gain skills and to provide training opportunities, students are also encouraged to pursue other studies to enhance their training and positions as part of society with skills such as Basic Resuscitation, First Aid, sports and cultural studies.
